Paula Brauer PhD, RD, FDC

  • PhD Epidemiology – University of Toronto (2000)
  • MSc Nutritional Sciences – University of Wisconsin (1979)
  • BHE Home Economics – University of British Columbia (1968)

My academic career has focused on efforts to improve the effectiveness of diet management of obesity and cardiometabolic risk conditions, and promote increased legume and vegetable consumption. Teaching was focused on medical nutrition therapy. I was active in team-based primary health care reform in Ontario and as a member of the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care 2010-15.  A RD since 1975, I have been a Dietitians of Canada Board member, editor of the Journal, and Ryley-Jeffs award winner in 2003.

Now retired, and a College Professor Emerita, I continue to work on several projects and advise others on their dietetic implementation projects. To discuss your project or idea contact me at: pbrauer@uoguelph.ca.
